Skilled nursing is medical care from a licensed nurse. Home care, sometimes called personal care, is non-medical help with daily tasks such as bathing, meals or housekeeping. We can also help arrange some of that extra support.
Visit frequency follows your doctor’s orders and your needs. It is often a few times a week at first and changes as you recover. Skilled nursing is usually short-term and continues while there is a medical need and progress toward your goals.
A nurse may check your vital signs and overall health, care for wounds, ostomies or catheters, review your medications, teach you and your family, and update your doctor.
We aim for continuity whenever possible. If needed, another qualified nurse may visit so your care is not delayed.
